Teacher Stereotypes

Teachers are judged all the time and are portrayed through stereotypes. Here are some examples

• The Mean Teachers

• The Flirtatious Teacher

                

• The Army Sargent

• The Old Lady

 .           

• The one who doesn't care

            

 

 

All of these are common types of stereotypes teachers are seen by, mainly because of movies and TV shows and many students like to compare their own teachers to them.  But in reality teachers are all different and some might fall under these categories but that doesn't mean they are all like this, its just easy for kids to compare them to the movies they watch. Movie and TV show producers like making fun of teachers by putting them under these categories because its funny. When kids start to watch movies and TV shows they get the idea of teachers being  mean, evil, old, flirtatious, etc. and nothing will stop them from thinking that. If movie and TV show producers didn't make teachers look bad in a lot of movies they would see them differently and wouldn't judge them. And yes sometimes there are teachers like these but overall teachers shouldn't be labeled under these categories.
